Here at Electrical Safety Group plc nothing matters more than the quality of our service. And that is reflected in the performance of our electricians. We receive a considerable number of applications every month from electricians wanting to be a part of our strong, professional team. Our policy, first and foremost, is to employ only the most highly qualified electricians. As well as being qualified to City & Guilds 236 level (the required standard for electrical installation within the industry), we also require applicants to be trained to City & Guilds 2391, the industry standard for Installation Inspection and Testing. Only electricians meeting these standards are considered for a role within The Company.
Our second consideration is to our customers.
All of our applicants are interviewed with customer service and care in mind. As ambassadors for Electrical Safety Group plc they must all be courteous, well presented, and have excellent communication skills. Those applicants that are successful at interview stage then move on to the next level of our recruitment process.\We start by carrying out thorough checks on all candidates. In addition to obtaining written references, all applicants are checked for both criminal and driving convictions. Each applicant is then placed out in the field with one of our Regional Technical Managers, who will then assess their work over several days with regard to technical compliance, the neatness and finish of the work, and the correct methods of inspection and testing following installation. In addition to this, each applicant is also assessed for his or her level of customer service and care. Following on-site assessment, the Regional Technical Manager's report is then submitted to The Company's Technical Director for review. Only on successful review is each applicant then 'cleared for start'.
Here at Electrical Safety Group plc, all of our electricians are subject to our system of ongoing training and assessment. This system, designed and developed by both our Technical and Customer Service departments, ensures that our electricians are kept fully updated on the current Wiring Regulations and any relevant changes within the industry, that their test and inspection procedures are maintained at the highest level, and that their customer service skills continue to meet the standards set by Electrical Safety Group plc. This system of training not only ensures that our customers continue to receive the highest levels of service, but the electricians benefit from our investment in them and are helped in achieving their full potential.
Our Company standards, recruitment process and on-going training of our electricians all ensure that our customers receive the following:
